Chemin de Fer focuses on an abandoned railroad track in Paris’ 12eme arrondissement.

Through the perspective of each individual, this area has served as garden, canvas, home, and trail for those who have discovered it. Halfslant’s installation uses found materials to create a modular environment in the space. These three independent spaces represent three distinct visions of what the Chemin de Fer is and what it could be.  Not quite forgotten, not quite remembered, the Chemin de Fer in eastern Paris doesn’t have a clear public or private purpose.
